On October 29, 2016, following the footsteps of the first half of the year for cleaning beach in Taipei, colleagues in Central Taiwan also carried out beach cleaning activities at His-Shih Coastal Embankment in Dajia District, Taichung City. 62 people joined the event and came early in the noon to wait on-site. After explaining by Taiwan Environmental Information Association, the volunteers deeply felt the importance of caring for the earth and shouldered such a mission. Although the wind was so strong that people could not stand properly on that day, the volunteers still stood firm and picked up 136.74 kilograms of marine debris despite the strong wind carrying sea sand.
